ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE EFTA* STATES (SWITZERLAND, LIECHTENSTEIN, NORWAY AND ICELAND) AND SINGAPORE ON 1 JANUARY 2003

The EFTA-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (ESFTA) will enter into force tomorrow, 1 January 2003. All Parties have completed the necessary ratification processes.

The ESFTA is the first such Agreement between the continents of Europe and Asia, and was signed by EFTA and Singapore Ministers in Iceland on 26 June 2002.
