The Singapore Embassy in Vientiane is located along Thadeua Road on the way to the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge. The Embassy is directly opposite UNICEF. By Public Transport
It is possible to take either a taxi or a "tuk-tuk" (motorized rickshaw) to the Embassy from the town centre. The Embassy is located about 3 KM from the town centre. As most of the local drivers are unable to converse in English, visitors can inform the driver of the taxi or the "tuk-tuk" that they would like to go to "Sat-Than-Thoot Singapore" (which translates into "Singapore Embassy" in Lao). The ride should take no longer than 10-15 mins.
Alternatively, one may hop on to the public bus that ply along Thadeua Road. To board, go to the Kuadin Bus Station located opposite the Morning Market (Talat Sao) and get on to the bus that goes along Thadeua Road. The Singapore Embassy is located on the left side of Thadeua Road. Visible landmarks/buildings that can be seen before the bus passes the Singapore Embassy include the Rashmi Hotel. One can inform the driver to stop the bus along the road in front of UNICEF and cross the road to the Singapore Embassy.
