According to announcements by the authorities, demonstrations and protests are expected in the following places in Paris:
• Jussieu
• République
• Insitut du Monde Arabe
Demonstrators are expected to follow these routes:
• Jussieu (11.30am) > Censier > Tolbiac > Place d’Italie > Diderot

Disruption to the Métro and other transport services are likely, including the closures of the following stations (https://www.ratp.fr/travaux-manifestations/manifestations):
• Lines 1, 8 and 12: Concorde
• Lines 1 and 13: Champs-Élysées Clemenceau
• Lines 1, 2, 6 and RER A : Charles de Gaulle Etoile
• Lines 1 and 9: Franklin D. Roosevelt
• Line 1: George V and Tuileries
• Line 12: Assemblée Nationale
• Line 13: Varenne
• Lines 9 and 13: Miromesnil
• Lines 8, 13 and RER C: Invalides
Furthermore, several bus lines are likely to be deviated in these areas. The RATP has also specified that the reopening of the stations will be carried out upon approval of the Préfecture de Police.
Outside of Paris, demonstrations and protests are also expected in other cities, particularly in Lyon and Nantes.
In Lyon, protests are expected to take place around the Place Bellecour from 14h towards Parc de Gerland. The local authorities have banned protests in four areas: Nord Presquîle, Part Dieu, Victor Hugo-Gare Perrache, and Vieux-Lyon. In Nantes, protests are expected to take place around the Miroir d’eau from 10h30. The local authorities have banned protests in the city centre.
As advised in the Travel Notice of 16 March 2019, please exercise a high degree of caution during the demonstrations and protests, which can be violent, especially when protesters clash with law enforcement officers. Please monitor local media for the latest developments on the protests, as they may evolve, avoid areas targeted by protesters and heed all public safety instructions issued by the local authorities. Please also take into account disruptions to traffic circulation and public transport services and allow for more time to get from one place to another.
