Ms Mai Thi Huan took a public bus to come to Hanoi to pay her respect to Mr Lee Kuan Yew. She brought a bouquet of flowers and penned the following message "I am so sad. On behalf of the Nguyen family in Hac Loc in Thanh Hoa, I would like to convey the condolence to Singapore on the passing of a great father Lee Kuan Yew". She returned immediately to Thanh Hoa, a 4 to 5 hours journey by bus each way. Mdm Huan, who is a farmer, has a son studying in Singapore.
