遗失身份证的新加坡公民可在中国时先前往当地警局出据遗失身份证的书面证明，通知新加坡移民与关卡局备案，然后在返回新加坡后申请补办身份证。
新加坡公民必须本人亲自到新加坡移民与关卡局办公室申请补办身证书。
