There have been violent demonstrations in Barcelona and other areas of Catalonia and they are expected to continue.
Singaporeans travelling to or already in Barcelona and other areas of Catalonia should take the necessary precautions for their personal safety, heed the instructions of the local authorities, and closely monitor the local news. Singaporeans should remain vigilant, exercise caution around large gatherings and avoid any protests or demonstrations. They should also purchase comprehensive travel insurance and be familiar with the terms and coverage.
Some of the demonstrations may result in transportation and flights being disrupted. Please check with the relevant airline on the status of your flight and cater for additional travelling time when making your way to the airport.
