There may be occasional demonstrations and strikes in Barcelona and other areas of Catalonia.

Singaporeans travelling to or already in Barcelona and other areas of Catalonia should take the necessary precautions for their personal safety, heed the instructions of the local authorities, and closely monitor the local news.  Singaporeans should remain vigilant, exercise caution around large gatherings and avoid any protests or demonstrations.  They should also purchase comprehensive travel insurance and be familiar with the terms and coverage. Singaporeans are strongly encouraged to eRegister with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at https://eregister.mfa.gov.sg/ so we can contact you should the need arise.  They should also stay in touch with family and friends so that they know you are safe.  Those in need of consular assistance should contact the 24-hour MFA Duty Office at
