Singaporeans who wish to apply for one of the following documents from the Thai Department of Land Transport – Driving License, Motorcycle License, International Driving Permit, Sale or Purchase of a Vehicle, Registration of Vehicle, Vehicle License Plate and/or Transfer of Vehicle Ownership – will need to first obtain a Certificate of Residence from the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok. This will be prepared for you by the Embassy after you execute an affidavit in person at the Embassy.
Documents Required
(a) Original Passport
(b) Documentary proof of your residence in Thailand bearing your name and residential address.
Examples are a tenancy agreement, telecommunications bill, utility bill, bank statement, credit card bill, etc. Please bring the original copy of one such document.
