Travel Advisory for Lebanon

20 July 2023
There are occasional large-scale demonstrations taking place in Lebanon, and affected regions include the capital Beirut and other major cities. The demonstrations are expected to continue in the near future, and the local security situation may deteriorate without warning. Singaporeans are advised to defer non-essential travel to Lebanon, given current developments.

If you are already in Lebanon, you should take all necessary precautions to ensure your personal safety. You are advised to stay vigilant, monitor developments through the local news, and heed the instructions of the local authorities. Avoid protests and large public gatherings, and stay in touch with your family and friends so that they know you are safe. The demonstrations may result in transport disruptions and flight delays. Please check with the relevant airline on the status of your flight and cater for additional traveling time.

Singaporeans in Lebanon are encouraged to eRegister with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at https://eregister.mfa.gov.sg/ to enable us to contact you should the need arise.
