Several states, cities and the District of Columbia have put in place significant community measures, including school closures, scaled down state services, limited gatherings etc. President Donald Trump has announced new coronavirus guidelines including avoiding social gatherings in groups of more than 10 persons. You are strongly advised to stay abreast of the latest medical developments in the US by referring to the advisories on the websites of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and your local state governments. The CDC website further provides guidance to help household members plan for community transmission of COVID-19 in the US.

The updated Registers of Electors have been prepared and are open for public inspection from 14 Mar 2020 to 27 Mar 2020.

In view of the evolving situation, we would like to encourage you to keep abreast of the latest developments in the U.S. by referring to the advisories on CDC’s website as well as advice from local and state governments depending on your location. Decisions about the implementation of community measures such as school dismissals, event cancellations, social distancing and remote working arrangements will be made by local and state officials. These decisions will be made in consultation with federal offices as appropriate, and based on the scope of the outbreak and the severity of illness.

In view of the upcoming school holidays, Singaporeans planning overseas travel are reminded to take the necessary precautions, including being prepared to deal with accidents, natural disasters or terrorist attacks. Singaporeans are also reminded to be familiar with your destination’s local laws and customs restrictions, including immigration procedures and entry requirements.
