Permanent Representative of Singapore to ASEAN Ambassador Kok Li Peng attended the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR)’s meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women of Australia, Senator the Hon Marise Payne on 9 September 2021 at the ASEAN Secretariat. The meeting expressed appreciation for Australia’s initiatives to bolster ASEAN’s COVID-19 response and welcomed Australia’s continued support for the region’s post-pandemic recovery. The meeting also exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation to strengthen the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Partnership. Both sides looked forward to the first Annual ASEAN-Australia Summit in October 2021, which would mark a new milestone in ASEAN-Australia relations.
