With the Handover of Hong Kong back to China on 1 July 1997, the Singapore Commission was renamed as the Singapore Consulate-General. Our mission is to provide consular assistance to all Singaporeans in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR; and aims to promote relations between Singapore and the two SARs.
The Consulate General is located in an office building in Admiralty, directly above the Admiralty MTR Station, which is one of the stations on the Island Line. It is also well-served by many public and mini buses. The Consulate-General has been operating in this current premises since 1988. The Singapore Tourism Board's office is located in Times Square in Causeway Bay, two MTR stations away from the Consulate General.
