Senior Minister of State (SMS), Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman will visit Jambi City in Jambi Province and Pekanbaru in Riau Province from 10 to 13 February 2020. The visit is part of Singapore’s continued efforts to expand cooperation and deepen ties with Indonesia at the regional level.
In Jambi City, SMS Maliki will meet Jambi Governor Fachrori Umar, Jambi City Mayor Syarif Fasha, Jambi Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) Deputy Speaker Rocky Candra, and members of the Jambi DPRD. SMS Maliki will also engage local business leaders, faculty members and students of the Sultan Thaha Saifuddin State Islamic University, and alumni of the Singapore Cooperation Programme.
In Pekanbaru, SMS Maliki will meet Riau Governor Syamsuar and Pekanbaru Mayor Firdaus. SMS Maliki will also meet leaders of local Islamic organisations.
SMS Maliki will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
