Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean will make working visits to Kazakhstan and Russia from 13 to 20 October 2019.
In Kazakhstan, SM Teo will call on President Kassym-Jomat Tokayev; Prime Minister Askar Mamin; and Chairperson of the Senate Dr Dariga Nazarbayeva. He will also meet Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Beibut Atamkulov; First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee Samat Abish; and Deputy Secretary of Security Council Azamat Abdymomunov. SM Teo will be hosted to meals by Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Askar Zhumagaliyev and Astana International Financial Centre Governor Kairat Kelimbetov.
After Kazakhstan, SM Teo will visit Russia from 15 to 20 October 2019, where he will meet Russian Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov; Special Presidential Representative for Environment Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov; as well as businessmen from the IT sector. SM Teo will make several site visits, including to the Skolkovo Innovation Centre and Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. While in Russia, SM Teo will also attend the 23rd meeting of the TOTAL International Advisory Committee.
SM Teo will be accompanied by Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Transport Dr Janil Puthucheary; Members of Parliament Mr Saktiandi Supaat and Ms Jessica Tan; and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Enterprise Singapore.
