MFA Press Statement: Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo at the 63rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, New York, 30 September 2008

Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, who is in New York from 21 September to 1 October 2008 to attend the 63rd session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, met with Mr Terje Roed-Larsen, the President of the International Peace Institute on 30 September 2008. They discussed a wide range of issues including the situation in the Middle East, and the global financial crisis and its effects on the real economy.

Minister Yeo will depart New York on 1 October 2008 and travel to Washington DC.
