The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea Mr Yu Myung-hwan will make an official visit to Singapore from 21-25 July 2008 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. While in Singapore, Mr Yu will also attend the ASEAN Plus Three Foreign Ministers' Meeting, East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers' Informal Consultations, the ASEAN-ROK Post Ministerial Conference (PMC) and the 15th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF). He will be accompanied by senior officials.
This will be the first official visit by Mr Yu Myung-hwan in his capacity as Foreign Minister. While in Singapore, Foreign Minister Yu will call on President S R Nathan, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. He will also have a bilateral meeting and an official dinner hosted by Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo.
