Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Member of the Political Bureau, Central Party Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, His Excellency Mr Le Thanh Hai, will make an official visit to Singapore from 26-29 June 2008 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo under MFA's Distinguished Visitors' Programme, immediately following his attendance at the World Cities Summit from 23-25 June 2008 in Singapore.
Party Secretary Hai will make courtesy calls on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister-Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. He will also meet with and be hosted to lunch by Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. Party Secretary Hai will be accompanied by senior officials from the HCMC party and provincial authorities.
