The President of the Republic of Finland, Her Excellency, Ms Tarja Halonen, will be in Singapore on a state visit from 19-20 February 2008. President Halonen will be accompanied by her husband Dr Pentti Arajärvi, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen and a business delegation.
During her visit, President Halonen will be meeting President S R Nathan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. She will visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens for an Orchid Naming Ceremony. President Nathan and Mrs Nathan will also host a state banquet in honour of President Halonen and Dr Pentti Arajärvi.
