The Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and The Pacific (ESCAP), Ms Noeleen Heyzer, called on Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo today. Ms Heyzer briefed Minister Yeo on her priorities and plans to strengthen ESCAP. Minister Yeo and Ms Heyzer discussed the contributions that ESCAP could make to facilitate development projects in the region. They also exchanged views on recent developments in the Asia-Pacific region.
