The Government has appointed Mr Burhan Gafoor as Singapore's next Ambassador to Portugal, resident in Paris. He is concurrently Singapore's Ambassador to the French Republic. Mr Gafoor will present his credentials to President Aníbal AntÓnio Cavaco Silva of Portugal on 8 February 2008.
