MFA Press Statement: Prime Minister Lee Hsien's Loong Discussion with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had a telephone conversation with United Nations Secretary-General Mr Ban Ki-Moon on 15 November 2007. They had a general discussion on recent developments in Myanmar. Mr Lee informed Mr Ban that Singapore had invited the Secretary-General's Special Advisor Mr Ibrahim Gambari to brief the leaders of the East Asia Summit (EAS) in Singapore on 21 November 2007. Mr Ban expressed appreciation for Mr Lee's invitation and agreed that it would be of benefit for Mr Gambari to brief the EAS leaders.
