MFA Spokesman's Comments on the ASEAN Civil Society Conference 2007 to be organised by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) from 27-28 October 2007

In response to media queries on the ASEAN Civil Society Conference 2007 to be organised by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) from 27-28 October 2007, the MFA Spokesman said:

"This is a civil society event, but we understand that it has the endorsement of the ASEAN Secretariat. As such, it will be the approved conduit for civil society organisations to channel their views to the 13th ASEAN Summit in Singapore in November. "
