MFA Press Statement: Visit by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to Malaysia to attend the 50th Merdeka Day Celebrations, 30 - 31 August 2007

Prime Minister and Mrs Lee Hsien Loong will visit Kuala Lumpur from 30 to 31 August 2007 to attend Malaysia's 50th Merdeka Celebrations at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi.

PM and Mrs Lee will attend the Merdeka Day Parade at Merdeka Square in the morning of 31 August. They will also join other invited guests for afternoon tea at Istana Negara, hosted by His Majesty Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIII and Her Majesty Tuanku Nur Zahirah, the Raja Permaisuri Agong.
