FSOs stand at the forefront of global events to safeguard and advance Singapore’s interests. We are tasked to analyse geopolitical developments, organise high-level visits, share Singapore’s technical expertise with developing nations, and assist distressed Singaporeans abroad.

To be effective, FSOs need to have a good grasp of world affairs and a firm understanding of Singapore’s position. You need to be able to persuade, assert yourself and cultivate good relationships, while defending Singapore’s interests.

Your career as an FSO will be developed based on your competencies and interest in either the Functional and Corporate track or the Political and Economic track.
