Submission of visa application may be done online, in person or by mail.  Please submit the visa application within 30 days prior to arrival in Singapore.

All applications submitted in person to the Embassy will only be accepted between 9.00am to 1.00pm on weekdays on an appointment-only basis.  The Embassy will not accept any applications without an appointment.

Documents required:

  • Completed Form 14A
  • One recent passport-sized colour photograph which meets the following requirements:
    • Image must be taken within the last 3 months
    • Photograph should be in colour, must be taken against a white background with a matt or semi-matt finish
    • Image must show the full face and without headgear (headgear worn in accordance with religious or racial customs is acceptable but must not hide the facial features)
  • Please provide a day time contact number, email address and state the type of visa required – single, double or multiple journeys.
  • One clear photocopy of the applicant's passport bio-data page. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the last day of intended stay in Singapore.
  • A copy of air ticket and hotel reservations. Detailed proposed itineraries (flight and hotel) will also be accepted.
  • A valid visa to the next destination should be obtained (if applicable). If you are returning to USA after visiting Singapore, please submit a clear copy of a valid US Resident Alien/PR/Green Card or US visa or relevant documentary proof confirming your returnability, eg. INS Parole Paper, etc.
  • Additional supporting documents (e.g. Form V39A (Letter of Introduction (LOI) for Visa Application) https://www.ica.gov.sg/docs/default-source/ica/forms/application-for-visa-letter-of-introduction-v39a.pdf) may be required on a case-by-case basis.

Processing Fee:

The processing fee is US$22.00 per visa application. The fee collected is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application or if you withdraw the application after submission.

All fees are subject to change without notice. 

Notes:

  1. Visas issued are for Social / Business Visits only.
  2. The processing of visa applications would take approximately 3 to 5 business days from the date of receipt of complete applications though some may take longer. Applicants should therefore give allowance for processing and possible postal delays before their intended departure. The processing time required is independent of the mode of application (i.e. either by post or in person). There is no facility of expediting service. Depending on the documents produced, local sponsors (i.e. Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents) and security bond may be required.
  3. Incomplete forms/documents may result in the application being rejected or delayed.
  4. The permitted duration of stay is determined at the discretion of the Immigration Officer upon arrival at the Singapore Immigration Checkpoints. Regardless of the length of stay granted, visitors may apply for extensions of stay in person at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority before the expiration of the entry permit. b.     Please issue a cashier’s cheque or money order in US currency made payable to the "The Consulate of Singapore". Personal/corporate checks are not accepted.

c.     To facilitate the return of your documents by post, please provide a self-addressed and stamped US Postal Service (USPS) Express Mail Flat Rate envelope OR a self-addressed prepaid envelope from a courier service of your choice. For the latter, please make sure that pick-up service from the Consulate is available.
