Singaporeans who have lost they passports may apply for a Document of Identity (DOI), valid for a Single Journey to travel back to Singapore, at the Consulate-General during opening hours (8.30 am - 5.00 pm) from Mondays to Fridays except public holidays.


What you require to apply for a DOI:

  • Lodge a police report and request for a copy of the report;
  • Prepare one passport-size (45 mm X 35 mm) photograph with plain white background;
  • Provide documentary proof of your citizenship and your identity, if possible; and
  • The processing fee of S$15.00 for the issuance of Document Of Identity is payable in cash and in local currency (Malaysian Ringgit) at prevailing rates.

The processing time may take up to one working day as the details of applicants are subjected to verification by ICA. 


Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) and Employment Pass Holders who have lost their passports should contact their respective Embassies/Consulates for advice.
