Kosovo
Use our advice together with your own research from reputable sources to plan your trip.
Entry and Exit
Singapore passport holders may visit or transit Kosovo without a visa for up to 90 days within 6 months, with a valid travel document.
Travel between Kosovo and Serbia:
Travellers should be aware that Serbian authorities may refuse entry if travellers do not have a valid Serbian entry stamp, and there have been reports of issues involving Republic of Kosovo stamps in passports. Travellers going from Kosovo into Serbia may need to route via a third country if they do not have the required Serbian entry documentation/stamps.
Entry and exit conditions can change at short notice. Travellers should verify requirements with the relevant authorities before departure.
Safety and Security
Travellers should exercise caution and remain vigilant, particularly in crowded public areas, and monitor local developments.
Avoid demonstrations and areas where large crowds gather, as situations can escalate quickly. Follow instructions issued by local authorities and monitor local news.
Take standard precautions against petty theft (e.g., pickpocketing), especially in tourist areas and transport hubs.
Northern Kosovo:
There is a risk of politically motivated violence, especially in the northern municipalities. Travellers should exercise heightened vigilance if travelling to these areas.
Local Laws
All visitors are subject to local laws and penalties.
Penalties for drug offences can be severe, including long jail sentences and heavy fines.
It may be illegal to take photographs of military or police facilities/buildings/vehicles. When in doubt, do not take photographs and check with local authorities.
Travellers should carry valid photo identification (e.g., passport) as identity checks may occur.
