1. General

Access of any area of www.mfa.gov.sg ("The Website") is governed by the terms and conditions stipulated below ("Terms"). By accessing and using any area of The Website, you shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any of these Terms, please exit The Website immediately.  Continue only if you accept these Terms. In these Terms, the words "we", "our" and "us" refers to the Government of the Republic of Singapore.

The Website is managed and belongs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. You should visit this page from time to time and review the then current Terms because they are binding on you. We may modify or discontinue any information or features that form part of The Website at any time, with or without notice to you, and without liability.

The accessibility and operation of The Website relies on technologies outside our control. We do not guarantee continuous accessibility or uninterrupted operation of The Website.

We provide The Website as a general information source only and we are not involved in giving professional advice here. The Website may not cover all information available on a particular issue.  Before relying on The Website, you should do your own checks or obtain professional advice relevant to your particular circumstances.

Where appropriate, we use available technology to protect the security of communications made through The Website. However, we do not accept liability for the security, authenticity, integrity or confidentiality of any transactions and other communications made through The Website.

c. Under no circumstances shall we be considered to be associated or affiliated in whatever manner with any trade or service marks, logos, insignia or other devices used or appearing on websites that hyperlink to The Website or any of its contents.

All materials contained in The Website are protected by law, including source code, pages, documents and online graphics, audio and video, are protected by all applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property rights that is owned by or licensed to us. Apart from any fair dealings for the purposes of private study, research, criticism or review, as permitted in law, no part of The Website may be reproduced or reused for any commercial purposes whatsoever without our prior written permission.

9. General Disclaimer And Limitation Of Liability

We will not be liable for any loss or damage (i) that you may incur on account of using, visiting or relying on any statements, opinion, representation or information in The Website, (ii) resulting from any delay in operation or transmission, communications failure, Internet access difficulties or malfunctions in equipment or software, or (iii) the conduct or the views of any person who accesses or uses The Website.

11. Applicable Laws

Use of The Website and these Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any claim relating to use of The Website shall be heard by Singapore Courts.

12. e-Services (if applicable)

If you choose to make an application or send us an email providing us with your personal data, we may, if necessary, share your personal data with other Government agencies, or with non-Government entities which have been authorised by us for the purpose of carrying out the "e-Service", so as to provide e-Service to you in the most efficient and effective way, unless such data sharing is prohibited by law.

You may inform us in writing that you do not consent to such sharing of your personal data. Please note that your withdrawal of consent could affect the service level of the delivery of e-Service to you. For your convenience, we may display to you data you had previously supplied to us or other Government agencies. This will speed up the transaction and save you the trouble of repeating previous submissions. Should the data be inaccurate or out-of-date, please supply us with the latest data. We will retain the data only as necessary for the effective delivery of public services to you.

You shall ensure that all information submitted through the e-Service is complete, accurate, true and correct. Where supporting documents are requested / needed, you should ensure all information submitted through the e-Service is consistent with the supporting documents. Failure to do so may result in delays in processing or rejection of the application. You may be liable for costs incurred due to false or incorrect information submitted.

While every care is taken by us in providing the e-Service, the Government disclaims all liability whatsoever, provides no warranty that access to the e-Service will be provided uninterrupted or free from error or that any identified defect will be corrected, and disclaims all liability for any direct, incidental or consequential damage or loss, that may result from such interruptions or errors or defects, including but not limited to:

a. any loss of, or any inability to retrieve, any data or information however caused as a result of any interruption, suspension or termination of service; and

b. any inaccuracy in the information presented, used or transmitted through the e-Service.
