Estonia
Use our advice together with your own research from reputable sources to plan your trip.
Entry and Exit
Singaporeans can visit Estonia for up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of initial entry within the Schengen region without a visa, provided no employment is pursued.
Estonia is part of the Schengen Area. Entry into any of the European countries in the Schengen Area for short-term tourism, a business trip, or in transit to a non-Schengen destination, requires a minimum three months’ passport validity beyond the intended date of departure. Singaporeans should have their passports with them when crossing borders, even within the Schengen Area.
As immigration requirements can change at short notice, travellers are advised to contact their travel agent or the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Singapore (https://singapore.mfa.ee/) for the latest information.
Safety and Security
Petty crime, such as pickpocketing and theft, does occur. Thieves often target tourists in bars, nightclubs, and hotels. Be aware of your surroundings and take care of your belongings.
Travellers may be solicited to purchase drinks from a bar without being told the price beforehand, resulting in exorbitant bills. Always check the price of food and drinks before ordering.
Local Laws
Pedestrians are required to wear reflectors after dark and during times of poor visibility. These small, reflective tags can be bought from most stores and should be displayed on coats or bags. This is especially important in rural areas where street lighting is poor.
Driving: There is zero tolerance for drinking and driving. Headlights must be switched on at all times, even during the day. Winter tyres are required between December and March each year. If in doubt, seek the assistance of your car rental company.
Travellers should carry their passports at all times. Keep a copy of your passport and the entry stamp page as well.
