Use our advice together with your own research from reputable sources to plan your trip.
Entry and Exit
Singaporeans can visit the Dominican Republic for up to 90 days without a visa.
Travellers who wish to stay beyond 30 days should expect an additional fee. All tourists need to purchase a Tourist Card which is currently included in your airfare to the Dominican Republic. Check with your travel agent or airline. All travellers to the Dominican Republic are required to complete the electronic entry and exit form (E-Ticket) at https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/.
As entry and immigration requirements may change at short notice, we advise you to visit the travel website of the Dominican Republic (https://www.godominicanrepublic.com/media/travel-alert/) or the Dominican Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs website (www.mirex.gob.do) for the most updated information and to contact your travel agency, or the nearest Embassy of the Dominican Republic to ensure that you have accurate information for your specific purpose prior to departure.
Safety and Security
Be aware of your surroundings. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash, wearing jewellery, and drawing cash from ATMs on the street. If robbed, it is safer to hand over your cash and valuables without resistance. Use only official taxis. Engage only reputable tour operators and local guides.
Local Laws
Drug offences carry heavy penalties. Pack your own luggage and do not accept ‘gifts’ from strangers or new acquaintances.
Customs officers screen travellers thoroughly on both arrival and departure.
