Cuba
Use our advice together with your own research from reputable sources to plan your trip.
Entry and Exit
Singaporeans can visit Cuba for up to 30 days without a visa.
All travellers to Cuba are required to bring digital or printed proof of medical insurance. Travellers to Cuba are also required to complete an online form (https://www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu) up to 72 hours before arrival in Cuba.
As entry and immigration requirements may change at short notice, we advise you to visit the website of the Cuba government’s tourism website (https://www.cubatravel.cu/en/) for the most updated information and to contact your travel agency, or the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Singapore (Email: embajada@sg.embacuba.cu, Tel: 6635 8172) to ensure that you have accurate information for your specific purpose prior to departure.
Safety and Security
Be aware of your surroundings. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash or wearing jewellery. Do not walk alone after dark. If robbed, it is safer to hand over your cash and valuables without resistance. Use only official taxis. Engage only reputable tour operators and local guides.
Local Laws
Travellers should carry their passports at all times. Make a photocopy of your passport and the entry stamp page as well.
Drug offences carry heavy penalties. Pack your own luggage and do not accept ‘gifts’ from strangers or new acquaintances.
There are restrictions on the import of fruit and meat, drones, GPS equipment, and photography equipment. Travellers are advised to check with the Cuban authorities for the latest information.
Additional Information
Prior to your travel, consult your doctor for travel health advice regarding vaccinations required or recommended and purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
Money should only be changed in official, state-run money changers.
Hurricane season lasts from June to November each year. Monitor the local news and follow the advice of the local authorities.
