Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Malaysia Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will visit Singapore on 4 December 2025 for the 12th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders’ Retreat at the invitation of Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong.
Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Malaysia Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will visit Singapore on 4 December 2025 for the 12th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders’ Retreat at the invitation of Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong. The annual Leaders’ Retreat is the key platform for the two Prime Ministers to take stock of growing bilateral cooperation, explore new avenues of collaboration, and provide guidance on how to take the bilateral relationship forward.
Prime Minister Wong will host Prime Minister Anwar to lunch, following which the two delegations will meet. Both Prime Ministers will then witness the exchange of MOUs on mutual areas of interest such as health cooperation and the fight against drugs that would broaden bilateral cooperation and increase the exchanges between both sides.
Prime Minister Anwar will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof, Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hasan, Minister of Transport Anthony Loke, Minister of Home Affairs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Acting Minister of Economy and Second Minister of Finance Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, and Chief Minister of Johor Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
The Singapore delegation will include Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu, Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for National Development Chee Hong Tat, Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs and Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, and Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance Jeffrey Siow.
