Visit by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile Francisco Pérez Mackenna, 21 to 23 July 2026

         Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile Francisco Pérez Mackenna is on a visit to Singapore from 21 to 23 July 2026.

          Minister Pérez Mackenna called on Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong on 22 July 2026. Prime Minister Wong and Minister Pérez Mackenna reaffirmed the warm ties between Singapore and Chile, and discussed how bilateral cooperation could be deepened in areas such as trade, as well as the digital economy and green economy. Prime Minister Wong and Minister Pérez Mackenna agreed to leverage the Pacific Alliance-Singapore Free Trade Agreement, Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership and Digital Economy Partnership Agreement to expand economic opportunities for Singaporean and Chilean businesses. Prime Minister Wong also welcomed Chile to deepen ties with ASEAN.

          Minister Pérez Mackenna was hosted to lunch by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu. The Ministers discussed global developments and bilateral cooperation on agri-trade, investments, and sustainability.

          Minister Pérez Mackenna will depart Singapore on 23 July 2026.
