Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean will visit Manila and Clark, the Philippines, from 31 January to 2 February 2018.
In Manila, DPM Teo will call on Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Gerona Robredo and meet several members of the Philippine government, including Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and Officer-in-Charge of the Department of Interior and Local Government General (retd) Eduardo Año. DPM Teo will also meet former President Fidel Ramos, and key Philippine business leaders. In addition, DPM will have an early Lunar New Year celebration with the Singaporean community in Manila.
In Clark, DPM Teo will visit New Clark City and be briefed on its progress and development by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). DPM Teo will also visit SIA Engineering (Philippines) and Clark International Airport.
DPM Teo will be accompanied by Chairperson for Government Parliamentary Committee (Home Affairs and Law) Christopher de Souza, Members of Parliament from Government Parliamentary Committee (Finance, and Trade and Industry) Henry Kwek and Sun Xueling, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
