State Visit by President of the Republic of Panama Jose Raul Mulino Quintero, 3 to 5 October 2026

President of the Republic of Panama José Raúl Mulino Quintero will make a State Visit to Singapore from 3 to 5 October 2026 at the invitation of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. This is President Mulino’s first visit to Singapore as Head of State. President Mulino’s visit reaffirms the warm ties between Singapore and Panama and provides an opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen legal and maritime cooperation, as well as to deepen ties in areas such as trade and investment, agri-trade, logistics, and sustainability.   

On 5 October 2026, President Mulino will receive a ceremonial welcome at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and call on President Tharman. President Mulino will then meet Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong. President Tharman and Mrs Jane Ittogi Shanmugaratnam will also host a State Banquet in honour of President Mulino and First Lady Maricel Cohen de Mulino. A new orchid hybrid will be named in honour of President Mulino and First Lady Mulino.

President Mulino will be accompanied by First Lady Mulino, Minister of Foreign Affairs Javier Eduardo Martínez-Acha Vásquez, Minister for Canal Affairs Jose Ramón Icaza, and senior officials.
