Official Visit of Minister of International Relations and Trade of the Republic of Namibia Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, 19 January 2026.
Minister of International Relations and Trade of the Republic of Namibia Selma Ashipala-Musavyi is on her first Official Visit to Singapore. This reflects the growing ties between Singapore and Namibia, and a shared commitment to deepen cooperation.
Minister Ashipala-Musavyi was hosted to tea by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan on 19 January 2026. The Ministers noted the potential for collaboration in areas like trade and investments, renewable energy, ports and logistics, and technical cooperation. They reaffirmed the commitment from both countries to work together on common concerns and in strengthening the rules-based international order.
Minister Ashipala-Musavyi also met Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development Alvin Tan.
Minister Ashipala-Musavyi departs Singapore on 20 January 2026.
