Official Visit by Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Luc Frieden, 6 to 8 September 2026

Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Luc Frieden will make an Official Visit to Singapore from 6 to 8 September 2026. This is PM Frieden’s first visit to Singapore in his current capacity.

PM Frieden’s visit affirms the warm and friendly relationship between Singapore and Luxembourg. The two countries celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2025.

On 7 September, PM Frieden will be hosted to a Welcome Ceremony by Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, and have a bilateral meeting with PM Wong. PM Wong will also host an Official Lunch in honour of PM Frieden. PM Frieden will call on President Tharman Shanmugaratnam later that day.

On 8 September 2026, PM Frieden will deliver the 48th Singapore Lecture, organised by the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute. The Lecture is titled “Autonomy With Purpose: Europe in a Shifting World”, and will be moderated by Minister for National Development Chee Hong Tat.
