12 SEPTEMBER 2001

12 September 2001
Mr George W Bush
President
United States of America
Dear President Bush
I am deeply shocked at the news of yesterday's terrorist attacks in various parts of the United States, and grieved at the tragic loss of lives.
The government and people of Singapore share with you and the government and people of the United States this deep sense of anguish and grief, and join me in offering our deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones, and our hope that those who have been injured will pull through before long.
These terrorist attacks should be roundly condemned by all civilised peoples.
Yours Sincerely
(Signed)
S R NATHAN
