MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS SPOKESMAN'S COMMENTS

In responses to media queries on the Singaporean on board the Indonesian military aircraft reported missing on 26 June 2008, the MFA Spokesman said:

"Our Embassy in Jakarta has been informed by Indonesian authorities that a Singaporean was on board the aircraft. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our Embassy have been in touch with the family of the Singaporean and will continue to render the necessary consular assistance to the family."
