In response to media queries on MFA's support for Earth Hour 2009, the MFA Spokesman said,
"Earth Hour is a laudable initiative by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to raise international awareness about the need to take action on climate change. In support of this initiative, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will participate in the event. During Earth Hour, which is from 2030 hours to 2130 hours on 28 March 2009, only the minimum lighting required for operations and security will be switched on."
