In response to media queries on the agreed terms of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 to end hostilities in Lebanon, MFA Spokesman said:
"Singapore welcomes the decision of the Israeli and Lebanese governments to implement the ceasefire agreement stipulated under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
This is an encouraging development. We hope all parties will respect the terms of the ceasefire. This is a critical first step to a lasting solution that will ensure the security interests of both Israel and Lebanon."
