In responses to media queries on possible protests in Manama, Bahrain, the MFA spokesman said:

The Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh is aware that messages have been circulating calling for a day of protest in Manama, Bahrain on Monday, 14 February 2011. Singaporeans who are already in Bahrain are advised to avoid Bab al-Bahrain and its vicinity, monitor the local news and any announcements from the Bahrain authorities, and take necessary precautions if they have to be in central Manama.

Singaporeans in Bahrain should eRegister if not already done so at: http://eregister.mfa.gov.sg/. Singaporeans who require consular assistance can contact the Singapore Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh or the MFA Duty Officer (24-hours) at:
