        In response to media queries on the reported killing of Chinese and Norwegian hostages by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the MFA Spokesman said:

        “Singapore condemns the killing of Chinese national Mr Fan Jinghui and Norwegian national Mr Ole Johan Grimsgaard-Ofstad by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).  We extend our deepest condolences to the families of Mr Fan and Mr Grimsgaard-Ofstad. The international community must come together to effectively combat the threat posed by ISIS and other terrorist groups.”
