In response to media queries on the DPRK Foreign Ministry Spokesman's statement on North Korea conducting a nuclear test in the future, the MFA Spokesman said:

"We have read the DPRK Foreign Ministry Spokesman's statement saying that North Korea will conduct a nuclear test in the future. We view this with great concern as such a move would be dangerously destabilising to the entire region. It would also not be in North Korea's own interest. We urge the DPRK authorities to reconsider its plan and not proceed with such a test under any circumstances."
