MFA Press Statement: Working Visit of Minister, Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu to Fujian Province, People's Republic of China, 17 to 19 September 2014

            Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu will visit Fujian Province (Xiamen, Quanzhou and Fuzhou) from 17 to 19 September 2014.   

            Minister Fu will meet Party Secretary of Fujian Communist Party of China Provincial Committee You Quan and other municipal leaders.  Minister Fu will also visit some Singapore companies in Fujian as well as meet with the local Chinese business community.  In addition, Minister Fu will visit the Singapore-Fujian Friendship Polyclinic (SFFP).  Initiated by the Singapore community in Fujian and opened in 2011, the SFFP is a community project on primary healthcare modelled after Singapore’s polyclinic system.  It also functions as a training centre for healthcare workers in Fujian. 

            Minister Fu will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Economic Development Board and International Enterprise Singapore.
