The Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Committee for Planning and Investment of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Dr Thongloun Sisoulith, will visit Singapore from 19 to 22 October 2005 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Law, Prof S Jayakumar.

Dr Thongloun will be accompanied by his spouse, Mrs Naly Sisoulith, senior officials, and a Lao business delegation.

Dr Thongloun will call on President S R Nathan and meet with DPM Jayakumar. He will also visit the Economic Development Board and the Jurong Town Corporation during his stay in Singapore.
