United States Senator Jim Webb (Democrat-Virginia) is visiting Singapore from 19 - 22 December 2008. Senator Webb called on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew today. During the call, Minister Mentor Lee and Senator Webb discussed the global financial crisis and developments in the region.

In addition to the call on Minister Mentor Lee, Senator Webb was hosted to lunch by Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean today. Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will also host Senator Webb to lunch on 20 December 2008.
