                    Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms Grace Fu will be visiting Japan from 24 to 29 March 2013. 

                    During her visit, Minister Fu will lead the Singapore delegation to the 9th Japan-Singapore Symposium (JSS) in Tokyo.  The two-day event, which starts on 25 March, brings together a cross-section of Japanese and Singapore politicians, government officials and participants from business, academia and the media to discuss issues of common interest.

                   While in Tokyo, Minister Fu will also have meetings with her Japanese counterparts and other leading politicians, including Environment Minister Nobuteru Ishihara and State Minister in charge of Measures for Declining Birthrate and Consumer Affairs Masako Mori.  Minister Fu will also make a side visit to Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, to study population and ageing issues in Japan.

                   Minister Fu will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant agencies.
