Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, who is visiting Jakarta, met with the Speaker of Indonesia’s House of Regional Representatives (DPD) Irman Gusman. Their discussions focused on the importance of strengthening people-to-people ties as well as parliamentary links.

MOS Masagos also met with Deputy Foreign Minister Wardana for an exchange of views on bilateral and regional developments. They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including enhancing economic ties, promoting tourism and improving connectivity. In addition, MOS Masagos met Head of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) Ansyaad Mbai and received an update on Indonesia’s counter-terrorism efforts.

MOS Masagos will participate in the Merlion Golf Tournament tomorrow. This is an annual charity event organised by the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta.
