Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong will visit China from 12 to 16 September 2011. ESM will visit Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, from 12 to 13 September where he will meet Inner Mongolia Party Secretary Hu Chunhua and local officials. The visit to Hohhot is part of our broader efforts to engage Chinese provinces.

ESM will visit Dalian from 14-16 September to attend the Board meeting of the Young Global Leaders' (YGL) Foundation, and to participate in meetings of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the 8th Annual YGL Summit. In Dalian, ESM will also meet Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, WEF Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab, senior Chinese officials and business leaders.

ESM will be accompanied by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Community Development, Youth and Sports Sam Tan and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
